An early 20th Century Chinese polychrome lidded vase, painted with a foliate design on an ornate aubergine coloured ground (repaired) approximately 38cm tall
Cover - no cracks or chips present. Knop is in good order. Loss of green paint on underside in some areas. Some gilt loss present.
Vase - cracks all over, like it was dropped and repaired back together (cracks seem to be in relatively large chunks). In some places the cracks have been painted over, like near the rim in blue, to try and cover it up. Few chips to glaze in areas and some loss of design in places too.
No chips in areas other than along the cracks. Some gilt fading on top and base rims.
