A Chinese Kangxi period porcelain dish, painted in Wucai enamels depicting a scene with six figures from the well-known 16th Century novel Shuihuzhuan (The Water Margin) by Shi Naian, the figures including Gao Qiu and Shi Jin depicted on Mount Liang by a river, 275mm diameter, the base with centred underglaze blue leaf mark within concentric circles, old solder repairs, old inscribed and printed paper labels and 'provenance' of Sir Francis C.C. Heathcote'

The dish has been broken and repaired using staples in one section, there are also some small chips to the rim and loss of paint. General wear to base, consistent with age.
