A silver gilt oval serving plate by Tessiers Ltd (Arthur Martin Parsons & Frank Herbert Parsons), London 1935 (jubilee mark), quite plain, engraved as a christening present beneath, 37cm (14 1/2in) long, 1038g (33.4 oz) Engraved 'To Hugh John Alexander Lindsay from his Godfather John Osmael Scott-Ellis 30th July 1934'. Lindsay (1934-2023) was the son of the Hon. James Louis Lindsay (1906-97), son of the 27th Earl of Crawford & 10th of Balcarres (1871-1940)
