From the Ferdinand Otto Miksche collection. Ten signed and dedicated books by F. O. Miksche mostly inscribed to the author's daughter, Olga. To include German and English works including 1979 'Bis 2000' (Seewald Verlag Stuttgart), 'Danubian Federation' (n.d., published not stated, uncommon), 'Atomwaffen und Streitkrafte' (n.d., Verlag Westunion), 'The Failure of Atomic Strategy' (n. d., Frederick A. Praeger), and 1945 'Atomic Weapons and Armies' (Faber and Faber Ltd.). Including a heavily annotated first edition (board lacking) of 'War Between Continents' by Miksche and E. Combaux, presumably this copy annotated to create the later second edition, with typed paper inserts, slips and annotations.
Ferdinand Otto Miksche (1904-1992) was a Czech Captain and military historian, awarded the Medal of Freedom and Order of the Colonial Empire, and the author of a number of works on European military history. (10)
