A set of five Meissen Capo di Monte style plates, 19th century, each painted to the centre with cherubs holding a globe and telescope, pouring wine or holding flowers, the border moulded in relief with classical figures, animals and trees, underglaze blue crossed swords marks, various incised or impressed mark, 22.7cm diameter, slight faults
Two plates in good condition, third plate with a section of the rim restored now discoloured, fourth plate with a chip to the rim with remnants of restoration on the very gilded edge and remnants of glue, fifth plate with a small over gilded chip to the rim and remnants of overpainted restoration on the reverse side which would remove to reveal no damage.
