An early 20th century Brussels tape lace fan with central painted gauze depiction of a courting couple, the bone monture carved and shaped, gilded and silvered, guard approx. 21.5cm; together with a pink mother of pearl fan lightly gilded and mounted with a painted gauze panel surrounded by Brussels bobbin lace, further embellished with silver sequins, guard approx. 19.5 cm (2)

Two splits just forming centrally in the painted gauze, otherwise this fan is clean and strong. The second fan is stained with one split noted to the gauze, otherwise sound
