An 18th century French carved stone fragment dated 1791, by repute a commemorative tablet remembering a white victim of the Saint Domingue slave revolution (Haitian slavery Revolution) on the night of August 22-23rd 1791, slaves in Saint Domingue destroyed workshops and windmills and massacred white masters, foreman and their families, the stone section with the text '... Assompton .. UV blanc, died on 30th August 1791 at the age of 41, raised on an associated stand, 33 by 32cms excluding stand.
