32 1/2 inch, dumbbell blade with central fuller. Etched laurel sprays, empty battle scrolls, Kings crown Welsh Guards badge and Kings crown GRV cypher. Forte with maker "J R Gaunt & Son Limited Late Edward Thurkle London & Birmingham". Steel scroll pierced guard with Welsh leek cartouche. Plain steel pommel and checkered backstrap. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its leather field scabbard.
