A worksplate, VULCAN FOUNDRY, 3796, 1925, from a Uganda Railways metre gauge GD Class 4-8-0, which became Kenya Uganda Railways EB3 Class and later East African Railways Class 24 No 2429. The class was designed for branch line work and shunting and some survived almost to the end of EAR steam in 1980. Cast brass, 9½"x5½", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
