A 1985 Ex Georges Jobé works Kawasaki GP500 Moto-Crosser, frame number TB257910, engine number TBC, green. Georges Jobé was a legend, he was nine times Belgian National Champion and five times World Champion, twice on 250s (being the youngest ever champion when he won the 250 title in 1980) and three times 500 champion. These achievements put him right up there as an all time great with the likes of Roger DeCosta, Graham Noyce, Dave Thorpe and Andre Malherbe. He is also known for his spectacular jump over Malherbe at the 500 GP competed at Hawkstone Park in 1984, which must be one of the most reproduced images in moto-cross history. This works moto-crosser we have the pleasure in offering for auction is one of three works bikes supplied by the Kawasaki for Jobé to contest the 1985 season. This is a very special bike with numerous trick bits including works suspension, special reinforced frame, swing arm, aluminium fuel tank, aluminium radiator, magnesium engine casings and even the saddle is signed by Jobé. Since being purchased by our vendor approximately 25 years ago, the works machine has been on display in his home. Now requiring careful recommissioning, this works machine offers the next custodian the opportunity to purchase a piece of moto-cross history. No paperwork See illustrations
