Royal Navy Attributed George VI Period Officer's Sword. A very good example of the regulation pattern, attributed to Rear Admiral R.H. Tribe MBE. The blade with etched decoration of a crowned GVIR cypher and fouled anchor device. Forte with the retailers details of Gieves. The hilt with gilt guard and lion head pommel, which surmounts a white shagreen grip with twist wire binding. The folding guard is engraved with the name R.H. Tribe RN. Housed in gilt mounted leather scabbard and complimented with bullion sword knot. Near parade condition.
