From the owner:
This stunning car has underwent a full nut and bolt professional restoration 20 years ago and has only covered 800 miles (eight hundred), since the restoration. The work was all carried out by Jaguar specialists ‘Grace Jaguar’, and this actual car was used for all their advertising and brochures, a copy of which will be included in the sale. The car benefits from many upgrades/improvements, such as uprated Coopercraft brakes, power steering, oil cooler and additional cooling fan and a stainless steel exhaust.
As you can see from the photographs the underside of the car is in amazing condition, it has been dry stored for the last 20 years and the few times it has been used it was only on fine days and never in the wet. The car comes with its original tool kit that is complete and includes the Dunlop dick brakes spares tin, a rare item in itself these days!
Under the bonnet the 3.8 engine looks pristine, having been fully rebuilt during the restoration. Inside the car the car has been fully re-trimmed in blue with biscuit coloured new carpets and headlining. The walnut dashboard as good as the day it left the factory in 1963.
The restoration of this Jaguar cost circa £70,000, 20 years ago, with no stone left unturned. Finished in beautiful metallic blue and sitting on chrome wire wheels, this car really is a delight to look at and takes you back to a time when the British motor industry was at the very top of its game.
