A bespoke trumpet, modified for Vivian Stanshall, founding member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, with applied brass stylised 'sperm' adornments, some set with cabochon stones as eyes, maker's mark not present, but with a serial number 2423, together with an Alessi Vacchiano mute and an associated carry case, the case bearing an address card reading 'Vivian Stanshall & Longfellow, 'Searchlight', The Towpath, Dumsey Meadow, Chertsey Road, Shepperton, Middlesex, TW17 9NU'. NB: The photograph of Vivian with his trumpet is for illustrative purposes only, and is not included with the lot. From the personal collection of Vivian Stanshall (1943-1995), English singer/songwriter, and founder member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.
