TWO KUKRI KNIVES AND SCABBARDS. A Kukri knife with a 38cm sharpened blade on a wooden handle, in a leather covered scabbard with intricate geometric incised decoration, 51cm overall. With a later smaller knife with polished blade marked 'India' and with 'dot' decorated grip, 33cm.
According to family tradition the larger of these knives was gifted to the vendor's Father by a Nepalese Prince c.1946, serving as police officer in Simla he was called upon to investigate a crime and stayed with the Prince whilst doing so. *CR 1st lacking subsidiary knives, scuffing to scabbard, split to sides of scabbard. Second with one subsidiary knife and light degradation to blade.
