An 18th century burr walnut 8-day striking long case clock by Edward Smith of Richmond, the hood with brass ball finials and reeded pilasters, the dial with silvered chapter, subsidiary second dial and date aperture, enclosed by ornate gilt bras spandrels, the trunk with arched and crossbanded door, on a stepped plinth base.
Dial measures 11”. Total height 7’2” (220cm).
H220cm W46cm D24cm (approx).
Condition reporty: Includes both weights, brass bound pendulum, both case keys and winding key.
Break to top of one finial. Side trim detached but present. Some cracking and various minor losses to case veneer.
