Wolseley 1896 - 1939. A very good set of photographs contained in 5 black folders. Featured are the first Wolseley vehicles and many good images from the veteran period, some press photographs, some obtained from the Peter Roberts Collection, some laid to card, and a good selection of racing and competition vehicles, including Charles Rolls in the 1905 Gordon Bennett. The Edwardian and early vintage period folders have images of engines, chassis, trade stands, coach-built cars, Flewitt, Hamshaw, Cole, Elkington, and others, good street scenes, together with racing at Brooklands. The 1930s folder includes interesting images of Patrick Motors, showrooms, speed events, promotional and private postcards, most with manuscript or typed captions verso with the date of acquisition in many cases.
