The painting has been re-lined. There is extensive craquelure throughout with stretcher marks. When viewed under UV light there are areas of overpainting, the enlarged area being above the camping figures in the foreground.
The craquelure that exists is extensive and runs through the entire central and lower part of the painting. There is also additional paint marks along the bottom edge and the lefthand vertical edge.
The picture is unframed.
