A Chinese chestnut glazed model of a boar, probably Tang Dynasty (618-907), the glaze with a file crackle finish throughout and deep, thick drips of glaze beneath the mouth and around the underside and base, on an open, rounded rectangular base, 4 5/8in. (11.75cm.) high.
