DOBBS EMBOSSED TICKET TO GUILDHALL VISIT OF WILLIAM IV + CORONATION BREAD TICKETS; Spectacular 9 Nov. 1830 superbly embossed card ticket (237x205mm; fits large album-page) numbered "162" with partially legible Guildhall "[ROTAL ENTERTAINMENT] COMMITTEE" red wax seal at top left; the embossing includes the royal crown at the top and the City's coat of arms at the foot and the central scrolled panel (with tiny "DOBBS LONDON" imprint at the bottom); in the centre is the printed text to "ADMIT [Mr. Underwood Price]... ON LORD MAYOR'S DAY...ON THE OCCASION OF HIS MAJESTY...Honoring the Corporation of London with his presence AT DINNER". There is also the signature of the "TOWN CLERK" ("Henry Woodthorpe") at the lower right. The forerunner of Queen Victoria's visit that resulted in the Wyon medal of 1837 on which the 1d Black was based.
