Paul Storr: A pair of George IV silver salts by Paul Storr, London 1827, squat lobed form with foliate and shell cast rim, each raised on three scrolling foliate feet, engraved with crest and gilded to interior, with original blue glass liners. Both salts standing upright on three feet, no rocking. Heavy gauge silver, very clean and strong gilding to interiors. Residue of old sellotape covering hallmarks to each base. Crests heavily rubbed but visible. Minor dings and light surface scratches commensurate with age and use. Glass in excellent order, no chips or cracks. Very good condition overall.
