A large and very imposing pair of ceramic karashishi (Buddhistic temple lions), probably first half 20th century; each with scrolling blonde mane, open mouth and one with right paw resting upon a brocade ball, each on large rectangular plinth base, karashishi and stands glazed in red and dark-honey Tang-style glazes (approx. 105cm (full height) x 49cm wide (plinth width) x 66cm (plinth depth)
