A Chinese white glazed porcelain 'Tibetan monk's cap' ewer and cover, Ming Dynasty, bearing mark of Yongle, the globular body with tapered neck and flared rim, elongated spout and curved strap handle with ruyi-head thumbpiece, the cover and body faintly incised with scrolling tendrils, Buddhistic emblems and a Tibetan inscription band around the body, covered in a pale bluish-white glaze, incised four-character mark to base, height 17.4cm.
