Recording the Royal Flying Corps service of 1219 Sergeant Hunter who flew in 1916 as an Aerial Gunner and later qualified as a pilot
Comprising:
Pilot’s log with a large number of entries regarding pilot training, last entry 12th July 1918 Sopwith Camel “Engine cut out crashed in telegraph wires”.... Army note book recording flights in 1916 as an aerial gunner with 4 Squadron, also gunnery notes..... Pay book.... Plus a snap shot photograph album, showing aircraft and personnel... Also other items (quantity)
Sergeant G.V. Hunter joined the Royal Flying Corps as a direct entry on the 29th April 1914. He served with 6 Squadron in 1914 and later flew as an aerial gunner on BE2’s. The 1918 RAF Roll confirms his trade as Aerial Gunner.
