Twigg, London, a late 18th century flintlock pistol, 24cm sighted steel barrel, fully stocked, with replacement ramrod, the lockplate signed Twigg, with scratched date 1787 and initials, with steel trigger guard and butt cap. overall length, 39cm.
The ramrod is a replacement. The lockplate and barrel are pitted. The hammer works on full cock but not half cock. The butt cap looks as if its possibly a later addition The chequering to the grip is very worn.
