(WITH 1d 'STARS' EX BRISTOL OR 2d PLATE No. EX LONDON) ETC.; Jan./Nov. 1862 pair of front pages of 'Punch' (some edge faults) and 'The Times' (wrinkle across address but otherwise very fine) respectively; the first with 1d Red 'stars' tied by a very fine Bristol "134" numeral (to nearby Chew Stoke), the second with 2d Blue (pl.9) tied by v. fine London "69" barred oval (fully addressed to Whitby); rare and attractive pair. Plus page from 31 Aug. 1844 'Punch' with spoof letter from a "Suspended Postman" ref. Sir James Graham and opening letters in transit (!), and unposted 22+29 Sept. 1855 complete issues of Illustrated London News (fine illustrations of Crimean War scenes), and a few pages form a pair of 1862/8 issues of Punch.
