A late 19th or early 20th century (Kangxi Revival) Chinese wucai 'dragon and phoenix' bowl, painted in underglaze blue and polychrome enamels, the exterior with two dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls and two phoenix surrounded by floral designs below ruyi and bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems) banding at the rim, the interior with a central iron red dragon roundel and diaper patterned rim interspersed with floral sprays, the base with six-character Kangxi mark but probably Guangxu period (1875-1908) late Qing dynasty, 21 cm diameter x 10 cm high
Several rim chips, hairline cracks and large areas or repair, losses to enamels and surface wear, firing crack in footrim
