£50
Five low-grade silver hammered and two Roman coins with distinguishable features, including three Elizabeth 1st coins which were all metal detecting finds. The hammered coins include an Edward (probably Edward 1st) penny; there is a cut short cross halfpenny from either the reign of Henry 11 or either of his sons Richard or John or Henry 111; and three Elizabethan coins, the largest one dated 1566. The busts on the Elizabethan trio are weak to non-existent. One, with two pellets behind the queen’s bust, is a halfgroat. The two Roman coins show emperors with radiate busts.
