Property of a deceased estate - Minton ceramics interest - Antonin Boullemier (1839-1900) - CHERUBS AND PUTTI, CERAMIC DESIGNS FOR MINTON, CIRCA 1885 - a set of six watercolours, circular, each 3.8ins. (9.7cms.) diameter, in matching glazed gilt square frames (6). Footnote - Antonin Boullemier worked for the Sevres porcelain manufactory before leaving France in 1871 and gaining employment as a ceramic artist at the Minton potteries. He subsequently became their highest paid artist before becoming freelance in the early 1890's.
