A pair of Japanese Satsuma porcelain vases, Meiji Period (1868-1912), each of bulbous form leading to a cylindrical neck, externally decorated within four blue bordered reserves with floral vignettes, on circular bases, character marks to the underside 25.5cm high (2)
No obvious signs of restoration to either piece. Small chip to the rim of one vase. Each finely crazed throughout due to the nature of Satsuma porcelain with some examples of this crazing be stained. Decoration appears competent and vibrant. The underside of one vase with stained firing cracks. General surface wear can be seen.
