Royal Air Force. An inter-war period photograph album, circa 1925 comprising sixteen 8x6" photographs, nine relating to military aircraft, and 66 other smaller views, compiled in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The larger photographs, mainly captioned to the reverse, include aerial shots, including three De Havilland Dh9a bombers in flight, a group aircrew photograph taken after Sir General Scott's inspection, Ezbekieh Gardens in Cairo, 'Steamer Point' in Aden, 'Fort Morbut, Steamer Point', the Hanger and Workshops of 'Aden Defence Flight' based at RAF Khormaksar, the wreck of Bristol fighter No. 6773 which overturned when returning from a bombing raid (with the 112lb bomb still attached, which was not released), Bristol Fighter running an op on tarmac at 'Upper Shiek' British Somaliland, with the fort of the Kings African Rifles in the background, Aden Flight with Air Vice Marshall Swann, a crash of Bristol fighter no. 4866, which was hit by rifle fire when carrying out a bombing raid on the 'Ziedei Tribe' at Al-Kor etc. Smaller photographs are pasted down, and the larger photographs are secured by corner protectors.
