A JAPANESE KATANA with WWII saya, tsuba and hilt, possibly Edo period, 24 1/2" curved blade, highly undulating hamon, signed tang with three open and three closed dowel holes, and metal and leather covered saya with Japanese script penned onto the leather, 38 3/8" long (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. Generally good. A small number of very shallow edge knicks. No fuchi or button/spring to hold the saya in place. Darkened patina.
