Police swords - a fine pair of M1850 Constabulary short swords for the Monmouth Constabulary. Both pieces from the same estate with family links to Monmouth Police. 1) sword by Parker Field & Son 233 Holborn London, curved 24" inch engraved blade, etched 'M.C.74'. Brass stirrup hilt, fishskin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard. 2) another similar sword, blade approx 23" inches and etched 'M.C.', brass stirrup hilt with scabbard locking catch, fishskin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard.
