A smokebox numberplate, 65858, from a North Eastern Railway Class P3, LNER J27 Class, 0-6-0 No 1230 built by Beyer Peacock, Works No 5122, in August 1908, renumbered 5858 in 1946, becoming BR 65858. A long time Percy Main engine, it spent its final few months at North Blyth from where it was withdrawn on 4 October 1965 and cut up at Darlington Works. The front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
