Equestrian interest: Comprising of a large natural pearl, high carat gold mane, neck and faux tree reins along with a rose gold bridle and pin all encrusted with small diamonds.
65mm x 35mm x 20mm
Weight: 23.4gms
Insurance valuation by Garrard and Co in 1963 for £85.
Lot 1 is in overall good condition, structurally sound and figuratively accurate, with no damage or disfigurement. Overall strong colour of gold with a particularly rich hue on the front side of the horses neck and mane. Some areas of slight tarnish towards the base of the crop on the reverse side.
There is one small diamond missing from the band of three diamonds towards the top of the horses crop near where the pin fastens. Possibly another missing from just under where the horses hair sweeps across the band towards the top of the pearl. There are no other losses.
