A SCOTTISH BROADSWORD, c.1700, by Ferara, the 32" blade bearing maker's mark and running wolf, steel basket hilt with pierced design, leather wrapped grip and pommel etched with a cross, 37 3/4" long (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Blade pitted throughout. Marks faint, but visible. Start of words hard to make out. Hilt pitted with very minor splits/ losses to some areas. Grip obviously old, but probably not original, maybe a contemporary replacement.
