AN EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER "CASTLE TOP" CHAMBERSTICK, maker Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1841, centrally chased and engraved with Windsor Castle within an everted foliate chased shaped rim, the leaf chased U shaped socket issuing from a reeded wirework handle and thumbpiece with detachable drip-pan and extinguisher, raised upon three bun feet, 1oz 10dwts (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. Base and drip pan have matching maker';s mark (pan no date), the wire handle has badly struck lion on reeding only, the extinguisher appears to be unmarked but does match the socket. All quite flimsy. Base dented but chasing good. The handle is attached to the base by one of the screw off bun feet. Wire a little mis-shapen
