SIR KYFFIN WILLIAMS RA (WELSH, 1918 - 2006): Sir Kyffin Williams watercolour, label to reverse reads ‘Cliff South Stack’ and is believed to be the View from South Stack looking back across the Llyn Peninsula. Situated on Holy Island, it is Anglesey's most westerly point, 3 miles to the west of Holyhead.

Sir Kyffin Williams has been described as the defining artist of Wales during the 20th century. His work typically drew inspiration from the Welsh landscape and farmlands and influenced the style of many who followed. His paintings are held in many public UK collections, including the Oriel Kyffin Williams Gallery at Oriel Mons in Anglesey. In 1995 Williams received the Glyndŵr Award for his Outstanding Contribution to the Arts. He was awarded an OBE in 1982 and was knighted in 1999.
