A incredible antique 'Gras' Bayonet dating to 1876. This model was the last of the French "sword-type" bayonets and has a rolled steel scabbard, brass pommel and the blade is inscribed with "Mre d' Armes de St. Etienne 1876", denoting the exact location and date of manufacture. Interestingly, this model of bayonet was used by the Irish Volunteers in 1916. A highly collectible piece, with internet comps of $225 from ebay.com
