R.M.S. TITANIC - LILLIAN ASPLUND COLLECTION: Iron key recovered from the body of Third-Class passenger Carl Asplund, circa 1900. Listed on the effects recovered from Mr Asplund when he was picked up by the Mackay-Bennett on the 26th April 1912. 1½ins. As this key was recovered from Mr Asplund's body it is assumed it was used to lock a secure box or trunk that was travelling with the family on the Titanic. Ex-Henry Aldridge April 2008
