An early 19th Century French military flintlock pistol having brass mounted 3/4 length walnut stock, the lock plate inscribed 'Charleville' and bearing 'F' stamp, further proof marks stamped to brass mounts, trigger guard and butt cap including initials 'B.H', stock bearing stamp with letters EF within a double circle, the 20cm tapered barrell dated 1809, with associated ebony and horn ramrod.
Condition: The top half of the jaw screw snapped off leaving bottom half of screw still in place, has possible replacement ebony and horn ramrod, various old scratches and knocks to stock, moving parts working freely, stays in cocked position however requires gentle release.
