AN EXCEPTIONAL AND UNUSUALLY LARGE MID-17TH CENTURY BRASS TRUMPET-BASE CANDLESTICK, ENGLISH, CIRCA 1650. Having a broad and flared socket flange, a narrow single fillet to upper cylindrical stem, a dished drip-pan with stepped narrow rim, the lower plain stem on a broad and spreading circular base, again with stepped rim, height 32.8cm (12 7/8in), base diameter 23cm (9 1/16in)
