A salt glazed earthenware bowl, probably British late 18th century, of wide shallow form with channelled rim, raised on an applied ring foot, 35cm diameter (at fault)
The piece shows a worn chip to the rim approximately 5cm wide, and several losses to the glaze of the interior, the largest approximately 2cm diameter. The glazed surface shows firing pits and frits throughout. The unglazed underside shows pitting in various areas, possibly the result of impurities in the clay. The foot shows two worn chips, the largest 5cm wide.
