HORATIO NELSON - PART NAVAL DOCUMENT SIGNED BY NELSON "ON BOARD H.M.S. BOREAS IN ENGLISH HARBOUR, ANTIGUA"; 25 April 1787 portion from the foot of a naval document (195 x 43mm; laid down on modern paper) boldly signed by Nelson; "Horatio Nelson" and annotated (in an early 19th century hand) "Nelson before he lost his right arm". A rare early Nelson autograph dating from only a few weeks after he had married Francis Nisbet on Nevis (on 11 March 1787). [Details from D.N.B. included.] In June 1787 Nelson and the 'Boreas' were homeward bound to England after 3 years patrolling the Leeward Islands in order to disrupt the American trade.
