THREE WITH QV LINE ENGRAVED FRANKINGS SENT AT 2½d, 3d OR 5d RATES; 1872/76 trio of similar QV ELs (from England, Wales or Scotland) with "JURY SUMMONS" imprints (2) or endorsement on the front sent from Haddington (1d Red + 4d Vermilion tied by v. fine scarce "*131*" numerals (3d Summons rate + extra 2d registered fee) [illust. in BPPP, p.315], Carmarthen (½d rose-red + 2d Blue (p.14) tied by duplex for the 2½d rate [illust. in BPPP, p.316], and Preston (3 1d Reds tied by fine duplexes) [illust. in BPPP, p.316 & on the back cover]. Plus similar unusual 1876 "JURY SUMMONS" EL but with only a ½d rose-red and so endorsed "Contrary to Act of Parliament" and charged "5d" [illust. in BPPP, p.317], and 1880/93 regd. trio with 3d rose-red (redirected with ms "1d") or 3d Jubilee (2) ex Edinr., Aberdeen or Hamilton (returned "Gone no address").
