The Royal Institution of Cornwall Journal Volumes 1 – 17, 1863 – 1908; a straight run. The Institution came into being in 1818. Reports were issued annually until 1863, thereafter the publication became a journal. As follows: Volume 1 1863-1865; Volume 2 1865-1867; Volume 3 1867-1870; Volume 4 1871-1973; Volume 5 1874-1877; Volume 6 1878-1880; Volume 7 1881-1882; Volume 8 1883-1885; Volume 9 1886-1889; Volume 10 1889-1890; Volume 11 1891-92; Volume 12 1893-1894; Volume 13 1895-1898; Volume 14 1899-1900; Volume 15 1901-1902; Volume 16 1903-1906; Volume 17 1905-1908. This set is uniformly bound in dark-green half-calf with green marbled boards, circa 1920’s. With raised embossed gilt spines, together with gilt lettering. With the bookplate of George Penrose and the Coat Of Arms of Penrose. In the top corner, the small sticker of Joseph Pollard, bookseller of Truro. A very scarce set in fine condition.
