AN IMPRESSIVE ELIZABETH I OAK AND INLAID TESTER BED, CIRCA 1580 AND LATER. The panelled tester centred by a large boss within a dentil-moulded lozenge-shaped panel, with leafy-carved cornice and strap work-carved frieze with Green Man masks, the headboard with a pair of floral marquetry inlaid panels, within an arcade spaced by carved figural terms, below a pair of flowerhead centred panels, spaced by three carved figures with drawn up knees, the end posts with ionic capital leafy turned tapering columns over gadrooned and palmette-carved cup-and-cover bulbous turnings, atop a niche plinth, with four pilasters centred by a figural female carved in the round.
