AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK AND MAHOGANY BANDED LONGCASE CLOCK by John Bancroft of Scarborough (1780-1807) having an arched painted dial (33cm) with Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials, signed to the dial, floral spandrels and sailing ship entering harbour to the arch, eight day movement striking on a bell, the case having swan neck pediment with ball and eagle finial, rounded pilasters to the hood, long arch top door to the trunk, canted corners, above a plain panel base with shaped plinth, 22cm high, c1800-1805
