The body is carved with a dragon crossing the sea, and the leg features a mystical beast, likely a 'Xiezhi'. The side of the rim bears the mark 'Da Ming Xuan De Wu Nian Zuo Zhao', indicating that this censer was crafted during the fifth year of the Xuande reign, made by Wu Bang Zuo.
