Michael Collins, cutlery used by him at his last meal in the Eldon Hotel, Skibereen on Tuesday 22 August, 1922. The knife, fork and spoon each mounted on one of the leaves of a silk shamrock, flanked by a tricolour and a green harp flag, on black fabric panel, 20" x 24" (51 x 61cm), with letter of provenance. Provenance: Given to Kitty Kiernan following Collins' death, inherited by Kitty's sister Maud, by descent through Maud's husband's family and given by May Brennan to Donal O'Driscoll, thence by descent.
