An Indian Gold Pichwai Painting Decorative Panel Depicting Peacocks and Cows, 20th Century.

A vibrant and richly adorned Indian Pichwai textile panel, showcasing traditional motifs of divine abundance and nature. Executed in shimmering gold against a deep indigo-black ground, the composition is arranged in three horizontal registers. The upper panel features a trio of elegant peacocks flanking a blossoming tree; the central band displays a symmetrical arrangement of birds and flora surrounding a stylized palm; and the bottom panel presents a pair of golden cows, symbolic of Lord Krishna’s divine herds.
